anyway, LAX could also be facing some "50 Cent Treatement"; The Massacre was a pretty dope album, but couldn't stand next to GRODT so it kind of got shitted on.

same could go for LAX, it's not that it's bad; it just doesn't compare to the other two.

The reason it gets hated on is because Game's first two albums were, what...4.5/5 albums? Then he dropped LAX which was certainately below that album, it did have some dope cuts (my favorite being House of Pain, love the NWA sample) but the album overall isn't more than a 3.5/5.. maybe a 3.75 if we're being kind. But when this happens to a rappers album after superior records, internet hip hop fans immidiately start hatin, sayin the rapper fell off, sold out, etc. That's just the way it is.

For some reason I prefer L.A.X. over Doctor's Advocate. "Angel" is one of my favorite joints ever, if Kanye had a verse on it and they pushed it as a single with a video behind it and everyhing, it would've been a great follow-up to "My Life".

lol people getting butthurt cause another guy doesn't like the album. I know niggaz who don't like Doctors Advocate, but love L.A.X. and Documentary, I don't give a shit why. IMO the album was crap compared to previous efforts. Sure it has some good cuts, but most albums do. In the end it went back into the commercialism sound that his debut was in. His Second imo was his more underground work, but this, Doc, and now Red = His more mainstream albums.  Red especially its like Snoop dogg and Malice.  Only difference is Game came from Mainstream rap, went into underground rap, continue with it via mixtapes/disses and then went back to mainstream with mainstream lyrics/sound but still keeps a slight touch of gangsta bravado. In the end L.A.X is his weakest (Red will probably replace it imo) but his first 2 are his strongest efforts.

Also got to remember Game isn't much a rapper ((nvm the name dropping) lyrically he's a average west coast rapper, with a raspy voice that brings back nostalgia of dre.The fact he rips Dres flow on My Bitch, 2pac's Outro on "You'll never get far" of of DA, and L.A.X.s on "Never can say good bye". Face it when it comes to game, we listen to him not because he brings anything new to the table, his ideas, tracks, and over all image was done to death within the 1990s onward, However because he's reminiscent of that old school feel, is why we show him love.

He rides for the west, He made a classic West Coast style album (Doctors Advocate) had classic West Coast artist, who sounded like they were in there prime again (Snoop via California vacation), Was mentored by original N.W.A member Dr. Dre and constantly talks about old school albums/rappers/barrows stuff from those albums. He rides for N.W.A and wants to make a album with them, hell it was rumored he was to be in Westside Connection, and even possibly get Mc Eiht to put CMW back together.


Face it, only reason we listen to Game is because he represents west, and is nostalgia incarnated.


His beats make him. His lyrics are not complex, but they aren't done as well as a more Classic West Coast rapper can do. Everyone hates Big money, cause the production is crap and his lyric content is crap, yet tons of people are going batshit over White Soft Porn even though its just more generic gangsterism/misogynistic lyrics but because the beat is dope we love it.


Take all the lyrics from L.A.X and place them over a Westcoast style beat or any beat that's better then what L.A.X. Had and the album would get better reception.

The reason for me is too much Dre wannabe flow and voice on DA. L.A.X. only lack in cohesive vibe but other than that it's a great summer album.
