Radio and Killafornia Organization
« on: December 01, 2002, 06:41:51 PM »
someone made some topics about these 2 a while ago.  I checked out radio-regconize da real, and killafornia organization.  Damn these albums are dope as fuck.  Probably better than any album that dropped this year IMO.  Check these out if you haven't already.

I think I've got a cassette single from them and MC Eiht is featured on it.  It's tight.

I usually just go to Wherehouse and look around in their 3 for $5 or $3 and under area because a lot of times if it's not Snoop or Cube or the flavor of the month then eventually it'll end up in that area. And then you just have to take chances, I got both Killafornia and Radio in the 3 for $5 area because no one knew about them, including me. I bought Radio because of the cover, of Lime and 20th St. so I thought it might be some LBC shit. But I don't know where you live in Florida, if it's a small town then yeah this board and people like Nima, Axle, SGV, Funkadelic and 40 oz...let you know what's up, and much props to them for that. I usually hit up the under $5 area in any store and more likely than not you'll be rewarded, at least in Atlanta. And props to AcGrundy for trying new shit. I didn't feel Radio as much as Killafornia Organization but that's because K.O. had Tray Deee, Dazzie Dee, Chill, MC Eiht etc on it.

peace,

Yeah....I'm here in Orlando....home of Mickey Rat and the Orlando Tragic. We got FYE in the malls....but new releases alone cost $17+....that's insane. So we go to Circuit City and Best Buy.  But you'll only find the main stream West Coast music (Snoop,Cube,Dre...etc). Definitey won't find K.O, Kali's Finest, Kay-9ine or anything of that nature.  We have CDWarehouse w/ all the used CDs, but you have to wait for someone to sell their CD to them before you can find something good in the bin.  So basically I'm alone when it comes to my love for West Coast music here in Fla.  Thank gawd for the Net. lol

question: Off Da Hook....southern or northern Cali?

Off Da Hook is northern California, Oakland.

Good luck in hunting for shit, I always hit up the small stores, how many Wherehouses in Orlando? I usually have a schedule of when I hit up what.

Didn't Orlando also birth all of those boy bands?  ;)

No Wherehouses in Central Fla...might be one down in Miami....but I'll be damned if I'm driving 4-5 hours for a CD. lol

BTW...Orlando is home to the bubblegum music scene.  Crackstreet Boys, N'Suc, but Shaq,Ken Griffey Jr, and Tiger Woods have a home here..lol

thanks, i always enjoy your posts esp. about latino hip hop. I live in Atlanta, most of my Wherehouses have the 3 for $5 areas in them (I was even at a 24 Hour Wherehouse in Vegas and they had it). Those bins have the best shit, 187 Fac, Young Soldierz, Yukmouth, Nini X, Spice 1, Havoc & Prodeje, Mr. Money Loc etc. The used CDs that are popular are really pricey though (like $10 for a used CD!)

Radio is some funky shit, dope LBC album

Killafornia organization is some laid back gangsta shit

both of these albums are def. worth copping especially for the cheap prices some of y'all got them for

if you guys want really cheap cd's buy em from half.com y'all
I got both of these for less than 5 bucks and they got a gang of other underground LA releases such as Dazzie Dee, Twinz etc.....
