That's actually one of the best arguments, but when they mention polygamy isntead of hooking up with animals lol. The only response to that is that polygamy isn't socially accepted either. We live in a monogamous society, and it's going to take a hell of a lot to move away towards that. Certainly, allowing gay people to marry would be an extremely small stepping stone to that.

Yes, it's pretty close to having same sex marriages in the United States. 10 years ago, same sex marriages would have been a much harder sell. Earlier you mentioned separation of church and state. We should apply that idea to marriages by the state. Marriage by the state is a government institution while marriage through your church is a religion one. That's the separation right there. It is discrimination if the state decides who can marry and who can't marry based on their sexual preference. Whatever your Church does in your Church, that's between you and your Church. The government will not interfere with whatever you guys are doing.
