 I checked this out as well.  So far, I'm liking it pretty well.  It seems that they're using the same format they used with "Band of Brothers," by having the actual veterans speak a bit to introduce the episode.  I thought that worked well for "Band of Brothers," so it will probably work here as well.  The preview for next week's episode looked pretty good.

Fuck Yeah! I've been waiting for this series to start up for months.. Band of Brothers was amazing, if this is even half as good then it will be worth watching

Tom Hanks is an Exec Producer..   ** Spoiler **..   When the Marines were in those ships about to storm the beaches, I thought for sure it was going to start out as a slaughter.. like when they stormed the beaches in Saving Private Ryan, it was kinda funny when they run up on the beach and theres troops already hanging around like "what the fuck took you so long"

Love this show. Great first episode. WHen they were walking the grass field heading towards that broken down trunk. I was almost sure something was going to happen...show is intense
