my man, Stephen Strasburg has been LIGHTS OUT all spring so far.

it's a shame he won't be on the mound for the Nats opening day.

we could be looking at someone real special, future 300 game winner & countless Cy Young winner.

i know that's a lot of stock to put into a kid who threw some innings in Spring Training, but i got a feeling about this kid.

y'all?

You have a feeling about Strasberg ?  Wow real bold prediction (that was sarcasm I figure I need to point that out because I know it would go over your dumb ass head)

LOL! you like this dick?

name me one pitcher drafted first overall that went on to be something incredible...

*waits for you you to google "number one mlb draft picks"*

*waits for a response like you knew off the top of your head*

so yeah, as history will show, number one draft pick pitchers haven't really become unreal & i think he will be unreal.

so yes, i have a feeling about this kid.

again, keep preaching your GENIUS logic, pal. ;)

Hmmmm the media hype around this kid makes your prediction laughable because everyone thinks this kid is the real deal.  And off the top of my head find me a college pitcher as polished as Strasberg with his pedigree that was taken with the first pick.  Yea try again, I bet when your mother looks at you she probably wishes she wasn't so uptight about swallowing back in the day.

You also forgot Paul Wilson and Andy Benes.  But besides Benes who had a respectable career all three of those guys were either rushed or handled poorly and had careers derailed by the injury bug.  Though McDonald was a beast when he came up.  But cham makes his blanket statement like pitching talents like Strasberg are taken with the first pick in the draft every year.

How is my act childish?  You issue a blanket statement with no facts to back it up.  And in actuality you're argument is a sample size of 4 players over the past 25 years.  And only McDonald and Benes had similar hype.  One of which had a respectable career and the other had a very good rookie season and than was derailed by injuries and was never the same pitcher.

well i don't know what level reader you are or anything, i'm not going to tell you what you are either because i don't just make crazy accusations about people & front like i actually know the truth, but i said "future HOF"; that's a tad different than "respectable career".

how many players can you name off that "know-it-all" dome of yours that you said "damn, this guy is going to be a HOFer" before a major league appereance? forget just number one overall pick pitchers, just anybody lol.

i personally would rather just call it now & say "told you so" later; but CLEARLY your physical attraction to my junk is too much.

any other muhhfucker on this board makes this thread, your response (if you even decided to reply to a Cham-less thread) would be "word, kids got some lights out stuff; well ahead of his time; could be great".

but me? & you go back to your prime years of catching, drop to your knees & go to work. :D

Wait time out Cham, first it was pitchers now you change it to all players. LMFAO.  You didn't realized so few pitchers with similar hype have been taking in the first round in the draft.  But if you want to go all players that were first round picks, Griffey, Arod, Josh Hamilton, Justin Upton, and Joe Mauer have been pegged as future stars before every playing a pro game.  Try again Cham.

BTW keep your homo erotic fantasies to yourself.  I know you and Hack are into that type of shit but I aint

^being a star is not being a Hall of Famer lol.

you're just reaching for whatever argument you can find.

& i switched it to ANYBODY in the history of Baseball that you would have labeled "future HOFer"; it has nothing to do with "not realizing" he's more hyped than your average first overall pick pitcher, but the fact that it's not common to have such INSANE standards for a kid with a few spring training starts & one AA start lol.

& i'll steal a page out of your book & say..LMFAO, i like the way you dodge my point on if anyone else made this, it would be a whole different story. "Try again, Tom".

i won't even bring up the ratio of only naming five players out of...i don't know, show off that history, Tom; how many Baseball drafts have there been?

You got me your little I said he'll be a HOF'er not a star thing.  Besides that you haven't made a point so I don't what I'm dodging lol.  And I named 5 players that were pegged as stars from the get go in the recent past.  Now its the entire first round of the draft instead of the first pick lol.  Look all you said that is going out on a limb some what is he'll be a HOF'er.  Basically you jumped on the Strasberg wagon late because he has had this hype since college and now you're repeating what you hear on ESPN.  I don't think you have ever had an original thought in your life.

^if you read it where it sounded like i said "the whole first round", then i will correct myself & tell you i meant just the first overall picks of each years draft.

so what you're saying is YOU watched ESPN, which is funny considering you always talk shit about them & heard them say he will be a HOFer; funny, i must of missed that episode.

i said the same shit about David Price (another first overall pick, who i didn't hype up like this, but had some pretty big name around him) a few seasons ago.

i said on this very board, "keep an eye out for David Price, that kid is something else"; later that year he shutdown the Redsox in relief work in the ALCS.

i understand that nor this is much of a claim to somebody with your knowledge, which probably ranks somewhere within the Top 10 on the planet, but it's still a claim.

i know people who knew nothing about David Price, but i said that shit earlier in the year & then when they saw him in ALCS, they were like "yo bro, you were fucking right abou David Price".

The reason these guys get so much hype also is because they've been able to polish their pitching game while in college and these guys get enough hype that casual baseball fans also know about them.

Wow you sound like you have hurt feelings now lmfao.  And articles on Strasburg before he pitched in spring training ?  All you gotta do is search google and check the dates.  There was articles ranging from how un-hittable he was in college to would the Nats be able to afford him if they draft him.  The kid had huge hype before he was even drafted.
