Ice Cube was upset when he realized Mack 10 is younger then him, in fear of Mack 10 will start representing "New West" Ice Cube dissed Mack 10 claiming Mack 10s  birthday on wikipedia is false and that he is older then he looks and claims. Beef was confirmed when Ice Cube dropped a verse :

and I thought the main reason was cuz of mack 10's homies doin somethin to cube's brotha-n-law and cube's wife wasnt feelin it (who would be her brother gettin hurt) didnt she say pick 1.....her or mack 10?
and he chose her....sort of like the jdee situation....and from the brotha-n-law incident occurin....that led to tension for tourin...mack sayin cube dont want to tour and all he want to do is focus on movies and his solo stuff....but then he comes back out with dub....lol

the story i heard was that ice cube brother in law which is ice cube wife brother was ghost writeing some music for mack 10 and mack 10 didnt pay him.but ice cube brother in law ran into mack 10 while mack 10 was with his homies and he asked mack 10 about the money he owe him and mack 10 and his homies whoop the liveing shit out of his ass and stomped him out,and considering thats ice cube wife brother,mack 10 should of had more respect for ice cube fam.thats the story i heard.i heard ice cube was there with his wife up in a motel when it happened and after it happened they went up 2 where ice cube was and told him and then he whatever,the story gos on.but thats the story i heard.
