"Image of My Mind" - Amir
Murrow:
Born into diversity: Persian and German; Amir is not your average MC. As a modern day lyrical genius and producer, this soulful 26-year-old rapper who believe in himself and his audience, delivers powerful mixes and messages of his own anger, pain, struggle and realities while using unprecedented techniques of hooks and beats serves up a tasty mix of lethal sounds. His new release due out in early 2003, “Image of My Mind,” produced by DJ Quik on Bungalo Records is the outcome of a year long inner-soul journey.
Amir writes his own lyrics and hooks and produced some of his own beats, is grateful for being able to work with DJ Quik, who is an amazing inspiration to him. DJ Quik discovered the rapper when he walked into Amir’s studio while he was working on some of his mixes one day. “Quik heard from some people about my unique sounds and knew I would be in the studio, so he stopped by, and the rest is history.” Amir explained.
Besides being Persian and bringing his culture and music into his hooks and beats, Amir’s style, message and delivery will bring him to the top of the charts. Putting out a message that will mean something about life and what people can benefit from is the driving force behind Amir’s passion for music. “I always had to have Tupac’s newest album because it said something to me, something I can relate to. It touched something deeper and reached out to me. That is what I want to do,” explained Amir.
It’s clear though my discussions with Amir that he is truly a gifted individual. He has a way with words that reach much deeper than your average “Bling bling” rapper. I know that his album will be nothing less than stellar, and with DJ Quik handling some production, it’s clear that we may have a classic album on our hands. Be sure to pick up Image of my mind when it drops in early 2003 on Bunglao Records. I’d like to thank Greg, Adee, and Arash for helping me set up this interview and most importantly, Amir for taking the time out of his busy day to talk to his fans.

Yeah, maybe it will be good. I always watch Muslim rappers closely. Bombs over Sadaam was ill. He sounded like a real down to earth cat in what I heard of his interview with Englewood.
Only thing I fear is that he'll spend to much time rhyming about partying and being a mack. I used to love those kind of records back in the day. But they don't appeal to me anymore.
