"A Tribe Called Quest" appreciation thread
« on: April 11, 2010, 07:06:24 AM »
Too lazy to post links right now but don't hesitate to drop some gems in here, please! For me, Tribe is the greatest group in hip hop and they don't get much love or recognition either. Their sound also birthed alot of your favorite acts today, I'm saying....

As much as I love em, how much did Ali Shaheed do in the beat making?  I'm still not sure because nobody really has given a straightforward answer yet (or rather I probably haven't heard of it yet...)

what did Ali Shaheed contribute to the group?  Did he produce most of the tracks on their first 3 albums?

The Love Movement was easily their weakest effort but its worth buying just for the bonus tracks.
