damn interestin....to see others say that other albums of his are better or they listen to encore or e.show more than mmlp or sslp

i can't agree with that at all; but to each his own.

his first two LPs are what makes him Top Five Dead or Alive to me.

for me it goes MMLP = SSLP > The Eminem Show >>> Encore = Relapse.

i'd like to be REALLY optimistic & hope Recovery is in between TES & Encore.

Infinite is fucking awesome too.

I understand the historical importance and the cultural impact they had.  I also understand that they're, for the most part, better produced albums but both Eminem Show & Encore feel truer to revealing Eminem as a more complex MC.  In fact, I completely understand why people have issues with the production on Encore which by the time it was released felt dated or more of the same.  I just like Eminem exploring what it means to be an artist and more or less admitting he doesn't know what to do.  It's incredibly fresh and honest.

That span between Eminem Show & Encore was the climax of his career artistically to date.

Ass like that?  No, I actually don't nor do I really enjoy Lose It but everything else on the album is dope. 

I see that a lot with albums that have lots of cuts.  Another great example is 50's The Massacre which has a 2 or 3 bad joints on it but people say it's trash and highlight 3 songs.  Okay, you highlight 3 songs out of 18?  So, that's 15 dope cuts - Em's first two interscope albums had only 15 cuts.   

I actually don't think Eminem has a "bad" album.  If you compare them, some are better, some are worse but they're all redeemable in some form or fashion.

thats some of his best....nowhere near the biggest em fan...and one of the main reasons i listen to him cuz of dre's input and what dre gives him....and showdown is one of my favorites by them....

rain man is cool and one of his better songs...but again why is it dope or so dope....its more to do it than it jus bein a eminem song
but showdown is....crazy and alotta credit goes to dre and the production....which is alotta eminems career....lol
but he shouldnt be in noones top 20 of all time

can't that be said for nearly any artist?  when do you divide the line between production and the mc carrying the track?  how do you? i'm not denying anything you've said about dre's role, because it's obviously, pivotal and your undeniably right but i do think you're not giving eminem his due credit. 

clearly, his career can no longer be supported by dr.dre.  hence, i guess, we'll find out whether or not eminem can survive without him.  clearly, eminem established he could work by himself and produce material but now we will see how he works with other producers

or better yet why does this rapper get more praise than koll g rap, big daddy kane, krs one....people make it seem hes a god compared to them....when in fact only way hes a god is by sales really otherwise lyrically is he better than them? skill wise is he better than them? is him bein white helpin him? lol
