Rappers Needing To Retire PT. 1 - Crooked I

Despite the 30-40 strong fans on here/online, people consider Crooked I a dope rapper. The same way they considered Papoose, Saigon, Fred the Godson, etc. But the fact is, if your going to blow, then your going too within the first 5 years of your 'commercial' career. This dude has been out for 15 years and still can't get an album out or a record on the radio. Suge spent millions of dollars marketing this cat, Suge got him more media coverage than anyone (Jimmy Kimmel, Hot 97 etc). But appart from west coast rap fans, and fans of the freestyle flow, nobody cares for the dude. He's tried getting on Radio by featuring Akon on hooks, and getting tracks from Scott Storch, he's been given support by every major hiphop magazine and website. But still, Crooked I remains no further of a "rap star" than he was 10 years ago.
Its common knowledge that most artists "break" thanks to a guest appearance, ie. Ja Rule featured on Jay Z's "Can I Get A...", he immediately rose to fame, AZ featured on Nas' "Illmatic" album, he's known to have blew up off that one guest appearance. Now, Crooked I has been given the chance to shine on huge artists tracks, such as GAME! 2PAC! Ja Rule! Ashanti! Tha Dogg Pound! Kurupt! Luniz! Snoop Dogg! Tech 9ne! Everyone has given dude a chance to shine!
Yet still. Will you ever turn on the TV and see Crooked I on Letterman? No. Will you ever tune into any commercial radio station and hear one of his own songs? No.
It's time Crooked I started looking for a job, because we all know rap won't ever pay the bills.
