I had brought him to tears in a previous thread I made, you can look it up if you want to.  But now I feel he has NOTHING to offer to the westcoast or music in general.  So I ask this question...........why?  Why is he needed? what's his use? why is he talking?

Malone has no commercial appeal whatsoever, so he's just not that relevant to the industry... but he tries to be... been like 5 years now since Game tried to put that nigga on and he still ain't blew up... he went through BWS/Sony/Cashmoney/Hoo-banging and still ain't make no noise... what other rap nigga u know been through 4 different label deals, didn't release one single album and still talkin trash? lol...

Nah its the other way around. He has too much commercial appeal. If he were a southern artist he might do better off, but where he is now the south ain't checking for him cause they don't give a fuck about west coast artists and the west ain't checking for him cause we don't give a fuck about rappers who try to sound like your commercial southern rap.

Snoop doesn't help people? Lol, you must be blind. He does more for the west than anyone. He is constantly putting rappers on. Just because he's not working with your favorite new west rapper you get all mad and ignore everything he's done and still does to this day. Ice Cube has done his part in the past. If he wants to focus on putting out his own shit out then he has every right to. At least he's keeping WC in the game.

I don't understand why the fuck are people blaming the west coast legends? I don't see people hating on Jay-Z or Nas, but Cube and Snoop do just as much if not more than them. You get mad cause the new west doesn't get airplay or sell records, but who does? Hell, Ice Cube doesn't even get airplay, how the hell is he supposed to put anyone else on when he's struggling to move units himself? Snoop does collabs and puts out rappers albums but its not like they sell anyways. If you want someone to blame, blame the industry. West coast rappers aren't going to blow up period in this climate. G Malone makes songs with Lil Wayne and even he can't get a record out.

The west coast isn't dead. You know what is dead? The mainstream. The so-called new west needs to stop living a pipe dream. They aren't going to blow up and even if they could they would have to sell the fuck out and put out garbage ass tracks that everyone here would hate. The solution is to go independent and put out records like everyone else from the west has been doing. Stop focusing on trying to go mainstream and focus on actually putting out albums, and touring and building an actual fan base in their own region. But it seems like they would rather stay internet/mixtape rappers and keep living a pipe dream about getting a mainstream release.

Superstar? Please. You are living in lala land if you think any west coast artist has had even a snowball's chance of becoming a superstar in the past 3 years. Snoop has done as much as he can for the west. Does he not do collabs all the time with west coast rappers? Does he not put out rapper's projects and help them find distribution? It's not up to Snoop to "make" someone a superstar. Dre didn't "make" Snoop a superstar. He put Snoop on a song and the buzz took off from there. Snoop does the same for the new rappers, but the buzz isn't there. You can't force a buzz into an industry that doesn't want another west coast rapper.

The only reason it seems that way is because the south is what's hot right now. They don't have to work that hard to put someone on so it's much easier for them to support each other. Lil Wayne can jump on a song with a no-name from the south and it will elevate them and give them buzz. Snoop makes a song with Damani and no one gives a shit
