What's wrong with working with Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, Pharoahe Monch, Bumpy Knuckles, CNN, Guru, Big Daddy Kane, Ghostface Killah, Styles, Nas etc.??
They're all credible artists/lyricists evern if they are from the East!

And it's not like he's forgetting the West, he's worked with Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg, Dilated Peoples, Eastsidaz, Muggs, Ras Kass, Defari, etc.
You best doing some resource, before you talk quick.
And for the record: Ras Kass was co-guilty in the "Home sweet home" incident.
Alchemist sent them both a CD with different beats on, and as Ras Kass never replied, Alchemist sold the beat to Jadakiss to use on his album.
And if I was a producer, I would think twice about giving beats to Ras Kass, as they probably never will get released anyway. (Hey, you gotta think profit)

hey guy...um...if u didnt know Alchemist is apart of the Soul Assassins...that gives him the cred...right there...thats the biggest crew out...almost any rapper out there is down with them...Alchemist still reps the west...hes just hustlin the east cats...he still gets love out here on the underground...just cuz hes not producin every single snoop joint or producin along side dre doesnt mean hes a fake...him and fredwreck are good homies...so chill...ras has a right to be mad...but he needs to let it go...why stay mad about that shit?...its not like he was gonna blow up with that track anyway....the commercial audience wouldve wrote him off as just another west coast rapper

The West, I think you got the whole Ras Kass, Alchemist, Jadakiss story a bit twisted. Alchemist sold the beat to Ras Kass, his album was then delayed, so Alchemist contacted the label to see when it was gonna be released, they didn't know. He then contacted them again, asking whether it was alright to sell the beat to Jadakiss cause it didn't look as if Ras Kass's album was gonna be released. They didn't reply, so he sold the beat to Jadakiss for his album. I don't blame him, if I had made a beat that hot, and it wasn't gonna be released then I would sell it to someone else.

Like S.G.V said, Alchemist has all the credibility he needs, being part of the Soul Assassins. He's a producer, and he's not acting as if he comes from the streets, so judge him by his beats not where he comes from. And like Jome said, he has done plenty of work on the west, it's just that he needed to live in NY to get his break in the game.
