I'm pretty sure he has it confused with N.W.A. Heltah Skeltah was Death Row. N.W.A. was around Eminem time. When 50 blew up that was when Dre was looking to sign Cube to Aftermath. I can see where the confusion comes in with Cube though. To us, we're fans. Most of us are geeks with the facts and names of things. To Cube, he just remembers trying to get in the studio with Dre over ten years. Like a lot of times with entertainers, the details escape them a little more because they aren't remembering every little detail of their careers like a fan is. In a twenty-year career, I'm sure a lot of memories run together.

Well the NWA reunion was planned to happen in 98-00 when Eminem was a new artist. Then there were rumors of Cube signing to Aftermath in 02-03 when 50 was "new" artist. So that's probably it..
