Not to mention E-40's double album was pretty tight. Personally I'm looking forward to WC's new album a bit more then Cubes, since Guilty by Affiliation was far better then Cubes last two albums. That new Suga Free album produced by Quik could also be a classic.

cube's is coming in july. i don't know when quik, dr. dre and xzibit are dropping theirs but i think someone here said quik's was coming out in june/july.

I'll say what I always do when this discussion comes up, I don't see it as being as great for the Coast to just have these artists release albums. None of these guys have had trouble getting their albums out. It's just a matter of their schedules all sort of moving in different places. It will be good in the sense that we'll have all these West Coast releases to listen to this year but without at least a few new faces behind the movement, it won't be a resurgance. It will be 2005-06 all over again. A spark that quickly dies out once the album promotion is over.

But I'm hyped for a new Xzibit album. Phenom and Hurt Locker are fire. Quik would be good too. But Cube's last album was weak and 'I Rep that West' was average so I don't have high expectations. And Game is trash.

yeah this year is already big. Kurupt, Brotha Lynch - great albums, haven't properly listened to Devin's yet though... i won't anticipate for Detox but the rest of these you mentioned for sure. and hey, let's not forget new Scarface

cube and xzibit are both dropping. they have actual singles and videos out right now. quik is supposed to be dropping sooner rather than later, his label peeps love the record, its ready to roll. dre is only one that might not drop. i think we'll see detox in 2010, judging from what's being said right now.

i didn't mention game cause these albums will be far better than his one and in terms of 'new west' cats, there is reason to be pessmistic about anything ever coming out. this isn't about a west coast resurgence, just about quality stuff that is about to drop.

I am looking forward to all albums mentioned.  Also hyped for the new Eminem and Slaughterhouse (if there is one this year).  I want to be pleasantly surprised by The RED Album but I'm not holding my breath.
