Then, he accepts a crazy offer of the Raptors, for the sole reason of money. That contract was absolutely ridiculous. More than 50 Million $ for a 30-year-old who averaged .413 shooting and 2.7 turnovers in his contract year?

Then, he plays terrible for the Raptors, partly on purpose, so he can leave the team because he obviously doesn't help them and only causes trouble. Talking about how he has been benched when he started almost every game of the season.

I bet he now has wet dreams of having his ridiculous contract bought out and signing with the Lakers for the MLE.

It's okay to sign with the team who offers the best contract, but then he should at least have the dignity to work for his money. Not play like shit and then saying he doesn't want to return to the team. Talking about biting the hand that feeds you. He should be fucking thankful for being overpaid like that, I'm sure he told them he's gonna work his ass off for them during negotiations. He knew from the beginning that the Raptors are not contending for a title, it's not a shock.

So the fact that players can sign contracts up to 5-7 years with a new team, then start to play like shit and become a locker room issue, all that after coming off of a good contract year leaving their new team no other option other than buying them out or trading for trash, is not a valid reason?
