Homie, I think you overestimate me, I have zero real life friends I hang out with and zero social life outside of work.  So when work and students started slowing down for the summer — I have nothing better to do than respond to every post on the dubcc.  I happily replied to Dogg’s post above.

I’m too bored to be “ducking anybody”

that's real .... good shit

and now doggy's the one duckin because he replied to this in our text instead of directly to u on here

Dogg too busy for the dubb...this ain't 01' anymore for him (it still is for me, but not him)

remember the ol school hip-hop forums were funny, there would be some cat that would reply to like every post and become a legend for a few weeks and then at the same time he would diss anybody else for having time to be at the forum and for listening to rap like

"you loser who hangs out on a rap forum and posts all day, I actually have a life and I'm quite eclectic in my tastes, I've been listening to the new Nickleback album and also 70's Rock, oh and by the way I also listen to Sade, but not her poppy shit, like her obscure album cuts. Plus, I am a graduate of MIT and a great and devoted family man.  And at the same time I got a gun and homies that will kill you I’ve been to prison before a shit, but grew out of that, and also I’m black and from Queensbridge.”

Yeah and when the album came out I noted this fact and thought this song and “Beautiful” and “Crack a Bottle” were better than the other tracks because they actually followed the storyline of Em’s life and career.  But those tracks were of course outliers

But you just said one if your main complaints was he was t rapping about these subjects and he was. What is he going to do rap about proof on every song? I think you just don’t remember that album.

It was nearly every song on SSLP thru 8 Mile was about his life.   Then on Relapse it was only 3 songs.

lol

my favorite em album is MMLP

it's definitely not all songs about his life... "Kill You", "I'm Back", "Bitch Please 2", "Remember Me", "Criminal", "Amityville", "Real Slim Shady", "Under The Influence", "Who Knew", "Marshall Mathers" to name a few

some of these u can argue were somewhat more subject driven than others

but to act like he was just this deeply introspective emcee 24/7 during his prime is off homie

"Kill You" - The whole theme of MMLP was he was responding to critics and the media backlash and sudden fame.  So they said his music was too violent so in "Kill You" he responds rapping, "I invented violence you vile venemous bitches, vein vicodin and rinrinrin... Oh no now he's chokin a whore and 4 mics in the Source" etc, there are many lines I could post like this from the song

"Who Knew" - are you fuccing kidding me dogg?  Just look at the chorus it says, "I never knew I, knew I would get this big..." he's rapping about his sudden fame and responding to all his critics and speaking on the trajectory of his career, etc. give me a break

"I'm Back" - Come on dogg, what the hell are you listening to?  He's responding to how they say he is a bad influence on kids and shit like that and how he's gone crazy from fame and hearing all the bullshit, and introducing himself again like a followup to "My Name Is" it was o.g the first single

"Bitch Please 2" -  He responds to the controversy of Gays with picket signs outside of his shows and an article from Timothy White in Billboard magazine

"Real Slim Shady" - yo this is two obvious, if you don't think this song is about his life and career in rap, and the narrative and trajectory of his career I'm not gonna waste my time explaining (actually I will because I have a lot of time to waste)

"Under the Influence" - he's rapping about how he has to keep it real, and how important it is to be real and authentic in hip-hop, this is very close to him and his character and life and career narrative

"Amityville" is like a rep your city track dog. So that's about him and his fuccin home town of Detroit and the grimey streetz that raised him and made him the MC that he is

...this is too easy man, I could go on and on if needed, what album were you listening to?  You trippin dogg.. even Sccit ain't gonna agree with you on this one

JUST GOOGLE MMLP

"The Marshall Mathers LP" is Eminem's second studio album, released in 2000, that delves into various aspects of his life, including his family relationships, his rise to fame, and criticisms he faced. It's notable for its exploration of his multiple personas (Marshall Mathers, Eminem, and Slim Shady) and his use of shock value and controversial content, which resonated with some while provoking controversy. The album also touches on themes of family dynamics, including his relationship with his mother and ex-wife, Kim Mathers.

"In 2000, Eminem dropped 'The Marshall Mathers LP,' an introspective look at his career and personal life. At the time, Em was coming off the success of 'The Slim Shady LP,' but with tracks like the ever-popular “The Real Slim Shady” and the table-shaking “Stan,” Em walked right into another hit project. 20 years later, Genius News looked at the album's impact on hip-hop and the music industry at large."

never said mmlp wasn't a personal album..

i said mmlp was a blend of deeper cuts and playful cuts ...  saying "im the real slim shady!" doesn't make a cut a deep, introspective joint ... the entire point of the character Slim Shady was that he was some degenerate lunatic who would murder homosexuals and kidnap his wife together with his daughter to throw her in the lake ... and while it does draw from real life situations, it was obviously exaggerated for theatrics to cartoonish levels.

and now we goin as far as sayin "bitch please 2" is a deep cut? damn .... now u even got me questioning if doggy understands MMLP because sayin it was a serious album front to back witout lighthearted joints is some casual shit. but then again, doggy only got into eminem recently.

^^ now you are trying to twist the subject… read above you said the album MMLP is not all about his life and then list a bunch of songs that actually are about his life.

One of your worst music takes ever at the forum.  Everyone knows that the MMLP was a very personal album and one of the most personal albums in history, hence the title, MARSHALL MATHERS LP, he used his given name because it was a very personal album.

once again ... half the tracks on mmlp are deeper tracks about his life

the other half is playful type character shit where he's rapping about killing homos and dissing pop bands

is it more about his life than relapse? yes.. but there are tracks from relapse about his mom, step-dad, addiction, proof passing, depression, etc ... sure, it's more of a concept album, but it's got the deeper cuts as well

bottom line, it just sounds like you're not that familiar with relapse tbh

real slim shady is not introspective... remember me... amytville... etc

not introspective in any way

and a few lines talkin about himself or his crew doesn't make it deep. quit tryna make it more than it is lol.

u can say what u want bro... now_i_know im the biggest eminem enthusiast here

i thought doggy might be able to give me a run for my money because hes really been studying ems catalogue lately, but naah.. even he said some off shit

so it's gota be between me and cey ceys friend wit the full collection.
