lol at both of y'all.  i made a Detox Myth Thread b4 "detox is a myth" and "tanjenitals" came thru.  Remember i said the equation Detox = No drugs (theChronic) which equals no music, which leavez u wanting more of it but u can't get it no matter how bad u crave for it.  let's not get 2 actin' like i ain't come up with that.  check my credentials nigga.

Yo, it's not the "Title" of the thread I was talking about, it was the content of it. When I first got here in like Feb of 07, Tanj was all over this... he's been sluggish recently on here... :-r - Tanj! - it's nice to see Tanj back is all I'm trying to say, it's just the internet, calm down.

naw homie i waz on it b4 Tanny was.  And I too was talking about the CONTENT of it, where do u think they got the influence from.  When i made the thread i had about 300/400 something views and only 1 comment (i think 1 anyways, i know it wasn't really nothing) and it was somebody saying some dumb shit about me, next thing I know everywhere I was lookin I say people callin Detox a Myth, but b4 that it was never spoken of.  trust me it's fact, i know this game in and out (i eat, sleep, and breathe it, literally).  call me a fanboy or whatever, all i know is i know, I'm dedicated.

The only thing you heard about Detox up until I said that was frustrated fans calling Dre a bum bcuz he kept taking so long or you only heard people saying fuck Lil' Wayne and telling folks how THEY wanted it to be.  Other than that that's all u heard about Detox, no theories, no nothing, in this case it's still just a theory but at tha same time it's still the truth.  I did that, I made put that out there, and I didn't get that shit from nobody, not even the idea or anything.

we've gotten pieces of The Detox thru the Game albums, definitely thru tha Bishop Lamont albums, 50's music, Busta's albums, and even Dr. Dre producing under different monikers, ghost producing, and of course the Relapse album and just as recently as we see with the Bishop Lamont "flashy" track.  People couldn't fathom Dre doing anything without attaching his name on it when in fact people are way to over fuckin critical about his music and he was just playing it safe.  i saw that a mile away.

Good to see you back Tanj !

Definitly on point in saying that Detox wont be as good as everyone hopes it will be. There has been far to much hype for it to reach everyones expectations.

I'm not trying to take credit for any thing but for the particular way I phrased the ideas in the first post....

I can definitely admit that people have been calling Detox a myth for years....My post was just putting that in a framework that made sense to me.

+1, thanks y'all.

but that's the thing, wasn't NOBODY (on any media) talking about tha album being a marketing tool or a "myth".  yeah, i know that might seem a little crazy but itz true.  b4 i made those posts and that thread that wasn't even thrown out there.  i idolize Dr. Dre, believe me on that when i tell u i know i did.  everybody was bitching about it taking too long and who would be on tha album, marketing and playing on people's fantasies wasn't even an option.  that's no speculation, that's all truth.

"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

Then we should technically ignore u. No offense, but this entire thread is just stupid. The fucking hype for this album is making the dickriders, haters, and supposedly "not a big deal" people into even more fanatics. Now people going out there way to hate, love, or show they don't give a shit.  It's just getting stupid when it comes to Dr. Dre now. I mean we got multiple threads originally about other artist, and moment Dre is mentioned, it's transformed into a Detox Session.

I mean a single just leaked (Obviously the song it's self is older do to the subject matter) and you go off on a tangent trying to keep your "It's a myth" Theory alive, when the reality is u have no fucking idea if the album is real or not. I don't have 1 either, 4 all we know dre has it up his azz, and is waiting for his colon to finish the mixing or it's not even being concentrated on.

Anyways, The Theory it's self is like the 7day theory, you're looking for stuff to support your theory, even if it's just blown outta proportion.

Even if the Album is a Marketing tool it's nothing really new.I mean look at what niggaz be using to market themselves.

The anticipation of Detox really could be solved without an entire album.. rather just Dre producing an album for Snoop.

Looking back at Chronic and 2001.. both those albums were Dre produced beats with production team with verses from Snoop and Eminem, Dre rapping his verses that they wrote for him.

Everyone has their Enimem and Dre fix, but really its the Dre / Snoop combo I think a lot of people are anticipating. Not to take away from other artists, but I could hardly give a shit if Jay Z ever raps again on a Dre track. Though when I hear Snoop rap on a Dre track its got that thing to make it a hit.

And yeah Snoop has fallen off in some ways but you have to admit when hes focused like rapping on a Dre track or even some gangsta shit on a DPG appearence he comes through.

Leave the mastering to the experts and people who originally did it..
