dope artist, but i will say something that will hurt yall feelings, quiks beats was too soft for mausberg if he was over some dre shit he'd still be spoken about today worldwide yell

But let's be for real...you woulda NEVER heard anything from him if he was with Dre. And I would never say Quik's sound was too soft for him, Get nekkid was a perfect club track, and tracks like "No more questions" and "Mushrooms" were dope as hell. He might not have meshed as well with Quik as Suga Free did, but Quik helped him as an artist and gave him a helluva chance...even had him on a track with R. Kelly.

he helped and he did put him on, but this equal mausy was a hardcore artist, quik sound works well with more party base artist,if quik could have did like 4 songs and executive produce the album and then have maus spit on some harder traccs by other producers, trust me maus would have made it hard for any rapper out here to surpass his shit, the equal was just that good but you need the sound to go along with the hard lyrics yell

If you have never read this interview of Quik, then you must read it!!

People saying Quik beats were too soft would have the answer that Quik couldn't master the record because of Stan Sheppard.

So read it in case you missed it!!

Great interview, props!

As for the beat selection, I personally dig it, but I can see what others are saying - if Shepard would release the acapellas to Quik or whoever, who knows, we might get some sort of remix project with "harder" beats... just a thought
