40 Glocc Implicated Over Gang Lyrics

Rapper Big Bad 40 is claiming that authorities are trying to use his lyrics against him. The southern California rapper, who up until last month went by the name 40 Glocc, went on trial in May for what the San Bernadino County District Attorney claims is his promotion of the gangster lifestyle. Last month the DA filed a gang injunction which would prevent the rapper from talking about gangs and Crips in his music.

"They are using my songs against me," said 40. "I thought the Constitution of the United States of America, which is where I live, grants me the First Amendment, which is freedom of speech. I mean, that's what I read." However, the DA claims to have evidence showing the rapper's "top status" in a gang as well as surveillance video of him selling drugs.

40 admits to having referenced the local "Colton City Crips" but denies a recent news story that alleges he has a C.C.C. tattoo marked on his chest.

"My rights are being violated and somebody is lying on me. I don't have any tattoos on my chest and whoever is putting out this wrong information can come over here and take a picture. They make things up when I boast and brag and tease them in my music [and] they find ways to punish me for not allowing them to dictate what I can and cannot do for my income and entertainment purposes."

Big Bad 40 recently finished up a tour with 50 Cent, and is preparing to drop his album New World Agenda.

Actually I was talking about the Implication of rappers via there lyrics. Eminem may of been raising controversy with his earlier albums, but the level wasn't as bad as when they were doing it to N.W.A and the emerging westcoast scene. lol least it shows that despite the crappyness of the rapper the lyrics still have some power today.
