westcoast westcoast blah blah blah. all Dre needs 2 worry about is making GOOD MUSIC and not sticking himself n2 a box. That westcoast sound (the piano thing) gets boring after a while. JUSTICE LEAGUE And Dr. Dre all on tha same track would be AMAZING nigga lol. Some people ONLY wanna see Dr. Dre do tha WestCoast thing but Dre is bigger and BETTER than that. you CANT DENY IT that Dr. Dre and Tha League wouldn't put out an instant classic. It's not just Miami Music, it's MUSIC period and that's that. and those r just TWO of their bangers.
u act like Dre just came out yesterday lol. he's been doing his "own" shit, it's time tha nigga branched out a little bit. while i would LOVE the old "chronic/doggystyle/murdawasthacase/doggfood/alleyezonme/2001" crew (colin wolfe, buddah and all) to get on Detox and be all over it from top 2 bottom i know that won't happen. he should get tha best muhfuckaz wit TALENT instead of just big names for tha sake of big names, JL ain't even a big name yet anyway, they still mainly mostly regional. they don't even make "southern" music, them niggaz make MUSIC. i mean honestly, how many of y'all r satisfied with the direction/sound of "under pressure", i highly DOUBT it's gonna change up too much from what it already is. and while that's only 1 track, it's still going 2 be on Detox.

Nothing memorable or special about it at all. I guess it is smooth but that beat was forgettable for sho. I don't really see that meshing with anything Dre has done recently. Not even on the same level. You looking for that smooth/classy feel check out "About Me" or "Catalyna" on Raekwon's last album. That shit has it. What's funny is those two were the least interesting productions on the Raekwon abum. The production on Maybach Music III shit on that.

"Interesting" is pretty subjective, even more so than if a song is "good" or "bad." The reason they stood out, or being interesting/uninteresting, is because they were the most chill west coast tracks on that album. The production was completely different than every other cut on that album. Everything else had that raw scratchy wu feel. Those cuts didn't, they were nice and polished by the doctor.
Bottom line, ain't nobody helping Dre get this sound...http://www.youtube.com/v/vD-ciMk0Pcg&feature=related ...but Dre.We've been waiting 10+ years on this, I want nothing but Dre instrumentals throughout.

You seem to be forgetting that Mel Man co-produced that entire album, and Mike Elizondo and Scott Storch contributed a great deal.

Quote from: amazing25 on July 09, 2010, 04:19:45 PMwell, Justice is based on South, MIAMI Scarface type of shit...you know..Not to Say Ross is the only one they produced for, but Detox will not fit beats like that..About time you said something intelligent.
