Doctors Advocate..personal Classic of late 2005's...
« on: July 19, 2010, 04:40:39 AM »
After Get Rich or Die trying,DOC etc...There havent been that many albums that had the caliber...Not lyrically...Not all that mainstream shit..just album that would stay in rotaion 24/7 without any bs...There was alot of good albums...Chams album, Obie's second round on me was unerrated, but as far as sotryline, concept and all that goes, I feel like Games 2nd album was one of the best albums to tell a story and hold the west coast in years...Theere have been many dope albums in terms of lyrics etc from West coast since 2000..but in temrs if telling a story and getting point accross, Game held it down.

He only let us down with Post LAX reject songs and RED...and even post LAX shit like bang Along, Thru My eyes and Red Light was the shit, its just that dude lost his motivation to prove the world he could still hold it.

Admit it...even the hater and super complex lyrics Bishop lamont fans, only reason you fuck with Game is becoz when Dude delivers from his Soul, its timeless classic that you will listen for the rest of the day and will never get old.

H0w can a track like One Night or Why you hate the Game get old,. when dude wrote nothing but what he really felt on the paper/

If DA was released in 95, tell me that shit woulda not been classic or best seller....

I mean Looking at you,Da Shit,Compton,One blood,Remedy,One Night,Too Much,DA its like Dude went inside our minds and knew exactly what we needed...There is only 1 wack track on CD is with Jamie Foxx and even that is ok..

Best fuckin  WEst coast album since West Coast was proclaimed Dead...And Game still dont get his props.

if this thread dont get a co sign regardless of the thread starters name,  i will leave this forum assuming that people dont like Game just becoz he is Game and not becoz of his music...even thou 99.9999% would disscuss, listen, anazlyse and talk about every song he would drop from 2005-2007.

I liked this album for a number of reasons. 1) It was refreshing to see a new face from Westcoast on mainstream, and Dre fully behind a West Coast rapper again 2) It was a multi-platinum album at a time when people were complaining about the internet is the reason Hip Hop artists can't reach platinum success like it was in the past, and shut up all the critics behind wack artists struggling and 3) It was a solid album, few average tracks they could have scrapped for others, but overall, and in time it will become one of the most known albums in the 2000's

I used to BANG the shit out of this album, like everyday, nonstop. My favorite album from Game & it shits all over The Documentary. I like that album but it was all over the place, this one was straight west coast except for like 2-3 songs. & like the thread starter the only song I didn't like was the one with Jamie Fox & still it wasn't that bad. Only thing that was missing was a real club banger like How We Do or Higher. That Storch song was too laid back for the first single. Haven't heard this album in years, when the right time comes I'll pop it in so it sounds fresh & new. Personal classic for me.

Docuumentary was a very good commercial debut though. It helped get his name out there for DA

No doubt, I like that album & played it alot. But like I said earlier, it's all over the place. There's no direction, one track is west coast, then the next sounds east coast, then the one after sounds west again etc. & for a commercial album it was still better than most stuff released back then. Hate It Or Love It stood out for me, that was my jam before it became a single haha.

da was a dark album, could feel the dark cloud over the head and depressions of game when he wrote it. compared to the documentary which was a summer lp with positive tracks on it.

Personal classic? Probabaly.

Timeless classic? Absolutely not. It doesn't rank top 50 ever; possibly top 100 ever.

HOLD UP. In that case, this album is pretty awful. Game was clearly being a little bitch over the G-Unit situation. Made a gay, heartfelt love song to Dre, while he was drunk; pretty homo. Just a terrible album all around from the production, to the content, to the constant bitching. Fuck Game, he's terrible & I think I speak for the ENTIRE forum when I say all this.

So long! :wavey:
