The Most Under-rated Eminem songs?
« on: August 02, 2010, 01:36:16 AM »
What do you think are the most under-rated and under-appreciated Eminem songs?  Here are mine...

-"We As Americunz"- (Eminem's last great song)

-"Trife Thieves" with Bizzare and Fuzz (that gritty, grimey shit Em was so great at in 97-99)

-"If I Get Locked Up Tonight" with Dre from FunkFlex album ("But now the white kids like it/ so they tell me I can buy it/ but as soon as I get on the mic it's like the night gets silent/ either that or booed/ thats why I keep an attitude/ and go to sleep with it and wake up with it every afternoon"  DAMN, nearly every syllable in that rhymed while making a profound statement on race and prejudice against white when he was comin up in the game)

-"Our House" with Limp Bizkit  (in the beggining he argues with his Mom for mis-pronouncing 2pac's name but after getting kicked out of the house he tries to tell her "It is 2pac Sha-ker/ I just asked HIM", the storytelling on the track is some of the best hip-hop has ever seen, its a shame this song didnt get more exposure and wasn't on an album)

^^^All classic songs with incredible lyricism, that kind of got lost in the mix of all his other great material.  But these songs deserve a serious listen from any fan.

Can you post "Trife Thievs" & "Our House"? I used to have them but I lost them.

Also if anyone has the track with Dre from Wild West OST & the song with Royce from Scary Movie OST, Thanks in advance  ;D

the sauce (incredible flows and rhymes, i can't stop myself joining from start to end when i hear)
evil deeds (it could be an hit if he took a video for it)
love you more (nice, touchy and logic thoughts mixed with em's rhymes, catchy and variable chorus, one of the most underrated)
911 (i am sure there are still some eminem fans don't know any shit about this song, b-real and eminem rapping together, are you kidding me?)

no doubt, it was part of an Encore leak that also included "Bully" (Ja Rule diss) and "Can-a-bitch" (Cannibus diss).  After hearing the leak it sounded like Eminem was right on schedule and still hadn't lost a step, like he was just going to be dope forever.  Then the album dropped and none of these songs were on it, and he had clearly lost his gift.
