VIBE - The Big Review: GAME "The R.E.D. Album"
« on: August 08, 2010, 02:13:11 PM »
Got this from ThisIzGame

Quote
The best 20 sec.

"Lost", 1.45: This valiantly honest bonus cut finds Game revealing the reasons behind abhorring his estranged father: " My pops is a pedophile/How you stick your 28-year-old dick in your child/And now how it feel to be 52 and have a son that's a millionaire and he don't fuck with you, Daddy/She was only in the sixth grade/The day i heard her scream, I should've hit you with the switch blade."

Ode to Boyz N The Hood

Game depicts his hard-knock life through the prism of John Singleton's 1991 classic strarring Cuba Gooding Jr. & Ice Cube.

"Ricky": Over stirring sax riffs, layered gunshots and the bellowing cry of "Ricky!" Game references 2Pac as the real life Ricky (Morris Chestnut's goodguy character) whose death prefaced Biggie's.

"Mother's Womb": Dr.Dre narrates the intro to this reflective song for mama, noting that a young Game used to watch Boyz N The Hood and allow his own life to mirror the film's tragic themes

Skippable

"When My Nigga Come Home" - An underwhelming locked-up anthem with a cheesy instructional bridge ("Inhale, inhale/Now blow it out, blow it out") and a sluggish cameo from Snoop attemting to inspire his homies in orange suits.

There's been like 15 versions of R.E.D. going around. I don't think this will be it.

I don't even think Game has finished the album yet.
You expect me to download an album that isn't real?  Sorry, but I can't sign this.

Some of these tracks will drop for sure.  A lot of it sounds dope.
Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind

Thats what Game meant when he said Dre's voice would be on there..  ::) ::)

and those Lost lines were deep man.. Shiit..

It Must Be Me definitely wont be on there.. he just said so in an interview..

please remember me saying this when the album drops...most of the Pharell tracks have been cut from RED...if not all

reason why they released Brake Lights produced by Cool and Dre...they tried to distance the association between Game and Pharell, beat wise that is. The Pharell diss on Street Riders was no accident. He probably still Executive Produce, but dont count on many Pharell beats on RED...

because of the negative feedback on the two Pharell singles...those were used to test the waters. Pharell beats are too dated...
