Ramadaan Mubarak to the Muslims at the forum!

The first ten days are a mercy for us, and Allah grants us his mercy and ibadah (religious efforts) that would normally be difficult for us (such as fasting, night prayers (taraweeh)) become easy for us.  This is through Allah's mercy and the brotherhood of Muslims all over the world who are experiencing the difficulty and ease in unison. 

The second ten days Allah grants forgiveness to those who ask for it, and not only does Allah grant us forgiveness but we are encouraged to reconcile our differences with each other, and know that the one who is first to make the effort to bring peace to a relationship is the one deserving the greater reward in the eyes of Allah.

The last ten days are protection from Allah's punishment.  The discipline we have achieved throughout the month, provides both an apparent award that we receive at the end of each day when we break our fast, and a hidden reward that is waiting for us with Allah.

May you all derive the full benefit from your fast, Assalamualaikum, Ramadaan Mubarak!

i live in germany, here was iftar like 1 hour ago, altough i did not eat or drink like 17 hours it was really ok ;D

Its funny I got a few mates who are not Muslim but are doing the Ramadaan now aswell.

I know in one African country I stayed in, The Gambia, the Christian minority population of 8% or so mostly all join in on the Ramadaan out of respect.

And likewise the Muslim majority there celebrates Christmas out of respect for the Christians.

Many peace corp members that see this report back that after observing this they now have a glimmer of hope that they may one day be world peace.
