I know in one African country I stayed in, The Gambia, the Christian minority population of 8% or so mostly all join in on the Ramadaan out of respect.

And likewise the Muslim majority there celebrates Christmas out of respect for the Christians.

Many peace corp members that see this report back that after observing this they now have a glimmer of hope that they may one day be world peace.

An even better idea would be to just let everyone practice his/her respective hocuspocus and don't bother with others doing different from themselves. And I'm not talking religion only.
