Maybe I'm just harsh, but I would give it between 4/10 and 6/10. Because it's not really a Mack 10 album, it's like Featuring Mack 10. Individual songs are dope but it's not good as an entire album.Pros: Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Jayo Felony, Squeak Ru, Tray Deee, WC, K Mac, MC Eiht, Roadawgs, Boo Kapone, Binky, Eazy E, TechniecCons: not West Coast enough (Jermaine Dupri, Foxy Brown, Master P, Mystikal, Gerald Levert, ODB, Buckshot, Fat Joe, Big Pun). Mack sounds good on these songs but I don't like those artists. I think he sounds best with West Coast production and West Coast collabs, and these songs are not his strongest. Maybe it's just because it came after Based on a True Story and Bow Down that it's a disappointment. If you see it under $5 I would pick it up, but definitely his first album, Based on a True Story, Mack 10 Presents the Hood are all better. There is only one solo song on the Recipe.Best songs: Get a Lil ****, LBC and the ING, Gangsta **** Like a Drug (my favorite on this as it's Tray Deee and Squeak Ru), Get Yo Ride On, The Recipe. peace, tnp
based on a true story is mack 10s best albumfollowed by his self-titled one...
based on a true story and bang or ball are much better than the recipe easly
