I don't know for sure, but I thought I had read before that he was originally from Poccet Hood Compton Crips... I could be wrong on that one.

He was affiliated with some Compton Mona Park Crips gang members, but was never formally accepted into the gang.

Its naive to think that every rapper who says they are a bonified gangsta really are...but its equally naive to think that none of them are.

The question is, who cares?

If you liked his music, finding out he isn't a "real gangsta" isn't going to make you dislike it.

Face it, nobody likes or dislikes an artists based on how "gangsta" or "real" he is; it all comes down to what music they make.
