It's not just one sided.  With egos involved, you think some douche like Mayweather will all of a sudden accept to terms with Pacquiao after Pacquiao came up with lousy excuses as well?

They both got a lot to lose if they get defeated in this fight. There aren't very many options out there in boxing at the moment. Not too many other avenues to travel. I have a feeling they're just gonna exhaust any other money-producing fights they can get in the next year or two until there is no other option but to face each other.

Very true.  And the thing is people might say, oh well what about a rematch...but I think their styles won't allow that.  It's going to be a convincing win no matter what.  I can see Mayweather shutting down Pac and even maybe TKO him and I can also see Pac just knocking the hell out of Mayweather.

What are u talkin about? Mayweather is an idiot. Its not about whether he is Black or not. The US is not Germany. My point on racism in the US is only that there IS a difference in a racist mindset from Whites as opposed to minorities. Its not BECAUSE they are White. Its because they are in power. If Hispanics, Blacks, or Asians ran the country...racism from THEM would be worse than racism from Whites. Racism from the bottom doesnt nearly have the impact that racism from the top does.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was arrested by police in his hometown of Las Vegas on Friday and released on bail a few hours later.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the arrest, with police later confirming it. Mayweather was charged with grand larceny, which, under Nevada law, involves theft of property over $250.

The charge is in connection with an alleged incident early Thursday morning involving the mother of three of his children, Josie Harris. She sought a protection order Thursday from a family court judge, alleging that Mayweather threatened her.

The boxer said nothing as he left the Clark County jail after surrendering for booking on the charge. Bail was $3,000 US.

Mayweather's lawyer, Richard Wright, said Mayweather is innocent of the charge.

"He did not commit any grand larceny," Wright told The Associated Press. "Josie can't find her iPhone."

Police said Thursday that Harris was treated at a Las Vegas hospital for minor injuries.

Mayweather, 33, could still face more charges, a police spokesperson told the newspaper.

If so, the undefeated boxer could be jeopardizing his career and a potential superfight with Manny Pacquiao.

While Harris previously recanted allegations of domestic violence at a trial in 2005, Mayweather managed to avoid jail in separate incidents involving women between 2002 and 2005 where he pleaded to, or was found guilty of, assault.

In the first case he received a six-month suspended sentence and two days of house arrest. In the second, he was given a one-year suspended sentence and ordered to undergo counselling.

Mayweather last fought in May, when he survived some rocky moments in the second round before cruising to a one-sided, unanimous decision victory over veteran Shane Mosley.

Mayweather, who is originally from Grand Rapids, Mich., got into hot water last week for an internet chat in which he used racial and homophobic slurs in reference to Pacquiao, the Philippine boxing superstar.

Negotiations to pit the two in a bout that would be boxing's most lucrative ever fizzled in January over the issue of Olympic-style blood testing and reportedly haven't been broached again.

Mayweather later apologized for the remarks.
