Snoop Dogg, LORage, RBX, Kurupt Speak on Doggystyle
« on: September 10, 2010, 05:36:56 PM »
http://www.mtv.com/videos/news/560534/snoop-dogg-dpgc-reminisce-about-doggystyle-before-sequel.jhtml'

And at the end, Sway tells them to make another Doggystyle.
So i guess this was done before he announced it.
Also, Snoop says "Ill bet it'll be out before Detox"

Great to see almost the whole camp chopping it up again.  Over the past eight years or so, it's seemed as if the original crew has not wanted to talk about their time on Death Row, so in the rare instances when they actually do get around to speaking on it, it's really great and special  :)  Thanks for thread starter for the drop.
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

question: how do you make an album worse than malice in wonderland?

good golly, can it even be done? how about an entire album produced by swizz beats. whoever thought of that one is a genius.

you guys makes such a big deal about Swizz working with Snoop, and the funny thing is that Im pretty sure that its not confirmed that he will do the full record, even the 18 tracks thing, im pretty sure that they meant that Swizz Hooked Snoop with a cd of 18 beats.

most of swizz's beats really are ass. not even hatin. it doesnt mean doggystyle 2 is crap or anything yet but its not a good way to start off either.

I hope Snoop takes a page from the Dogg Pound and uses alot of DPGC producers on various tracks. Preferrably Fred Wreck. This type of project is his forte.

I have said it once and will say it again, when DPGC brings they A game, they are like a west coast Wu. Collectively coming together like that, IF everyone is on the same page they can still make incredible music.

The only way it could possibly come anything close to any of his past work is if he used: Dre, DJ Pooh, Daz/Soopafly, Fredwreck, Battlecat, Warren G

They would all have to bring their "A" game, and it would have to be properly mixed, hopefully by Dre

I know this will never, ever, ever happen.  He will never come close to another Doggystyle.  The best I can hope for is close to Tha Doggfather, which I would be happy as hell with.

That Doggystyle sequal needs some Nate Dogg vocals!
