Wow, there`s extremely way too much hate 4 Daz and tha entire Dogg Pound Family on here.
if u compare Daz Dillinger wit Dat Nigga Daz from the early 90's - there's a huge difference. out of all the DPG's, i think Daz stepped up and postiively evolved as a rapper and performer. Daz is the only one that shines on all the DPG-songs nowadays. Kurupt sounds lazy and slurs out his words like an alcohoic, like he's falling asleep in the mic-booth. Same wit Snoop.. Daz matches all the instrumentals perfectly - and Kurupt tends to rap offbeat and fucked-up.tho Daz still writes the typical "daz-rhymes", but he was never on that lyricist-shit anyway.. It's kinda funny. Back in the 90's, Daz was the weakest link in Dogg Pound - now he is the strongest.. nigga can even sing..you could compare Daz & Kurupt - wit Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in a way. Al Pacino continued to evolve with his craft - while Robert De Niro became a lacklustre shadow of what he once was...dont get me wrong, im still checking for Kurupt-verses and new Kurupt-songs frequently, im still a big fan - but im entitled to my opinion.. no hate..

I got tonnes of DPG shit and listened to their songs thousands of times. There is good and there is bad, just like most artisits out there. I'll use Biggie as an example. Everyone was saying (maybe even still) he was the best of the New York MCees. He has two classic albums, but those were also the only two albums he had. The shit that got released after his death, like Pac's, got so so reviews. Would he still be as dope if he had 7 albums? Who knows right? As for DPG their early shit was amazing... RAW, Streetz is a Mutha, Space Boogie, Dillenger and Young Gotti, etc. ALso Daz is/was a dope producer. I just think putting out mass quantities of songs has affected them...

Actually, the older you get, the wiser you get at making money, but the wacker you get with your actual music-making skills. As for nobody in the DPG getting better and evolving, I know she isn't really in the DPG, but Lady of Rage has yet to fall off, imo. Because 2Pac didn't mess with her and teach her how to rush through her lyric writing and vocal sessions.

Others are pushing 30 and others are pushing 40 or are already in their 40's. There's only so many BIG Rappers in their 20's. Bow Wow, Wayne, Drake (if you wanna consider him Successful). Most of the "weaker" MC's NOW/TODAY are in their 20's and of course Younger.

There are a very few rappers that are still alive that are still getting better in their 30's actually the only one I can think of is Nas and maybe Eminem but that is the exception and not the rule. I agree with Detox that they get better with the business but their start losing their artistry, passion, and creativity. I do agree with you cocksmoker though that most of the weaker MC's especially westcoast MC's in 20's are an inferior product to the OG's but that's because they lack the originality the OG's brought to the table. Jay Rock and even Nipsey rapping bout he same shit Cube and Snoop been rapping about FOREVER.
One thing I forgot about was Blaqout with Kurupt and Quik, I thought that was dope as fuck. That was fresh, and that was what I liked about it. A lot of the time, like I was sayin and others, is that they recycle the same shit over and over again. Blaqout was unique.
