Alotta people forget about how current but ahead of it's time that album was.  Production wise it was some of the most different Rap music that's been comin' out since everything went all digital n shit.  Kurupt actually sounded fresh on that album and Quik did his thing inside out and outside in.

Yup, that is why it was so good.  You got to keep an open mind when shit like that comes out.  Look at Dre he's always trying to bring fresh shit to the scene, aka ahead of his time.  When 2001 came out a lot of people didn't like it, including myself, but it grew on me to be one of my favourite albums.  Still D.R.E. is probably one of my favourite songs.
I think if the DPG sat back and took their time, maybe got some help from Quik and different producers, they could make something fresh.

daz was at his peak while producing tracks between 98-01 imo

those songs ur talking about were really produced in 96(raw album) unless ur talking about d&yg and that shit has mike deans hands all over it.

daz production was the tightest 94-96 when he had deathrows studio musicians and can am equipment at his disposal
