Incidents before and during Italy Serbia (for european championship qualifiers)

Serbia is playing away in Genoa against Italy in the European Championship qualifiers.

The game was postponed this evening after Red Star FC hooligans caused unrest at the stadium.

Earlier in the day, they attacked Serbia goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković.

Stojaković recently joined city rivals Partizan FC and has since been the subject of verbal abuse of Red Star fans.

According to reports, a group of some 30 hooligans approached the team bus, while half a dozen of them entered the vehicle, throwing in a lit flare and "attempting to lynch Stojković".

His teammates reacted and defended him, said reports.

The violence then continued in the stands, prompting the referee to postpone the start of the game and send players back to the tunnel. A cordon of police was deployed in front of the Serbian supporters.

bunch of whinning idiots they were protestin something they didnt like about their federation.  So in turn they do something 1000x worse to damage their football future.  good job morons....they can get eliminated from the whole competition and more.
