« on: October 12, 2010, 02:36:42 PM »
this is a good way, to expand your taste in movies and see new cool flicks ---- know what the other guys are watching.

maybe some of u can recommend me somethin different.

the movies doesnt necersssarily have to be "new" (from this year), just pick the 5 best movies u've seen overall this year..
and they dont have be conventional either..
big movie-buff,
i like everythin.. mainstream, hollywood, bollywood, european, new/old, classic, crazy asia, silent, arthouse, anime, cult/exploitation, - you name it

show me what u workin wit...

He said it doesn't have to be this year.  And if it was this year only then Avatar and Hangover shouldn't be on your list lol

-Exit Through the Gift Shop - Most definitely my favourite. Not because of the Street Art involved but becuase how it showed how easy it is for some people to jump on the band wagon. After this film, it was irritating to see a bunch of hipsters praise Banksy's work as their own
-Toy Story 3 - Who didn't like this movie? Not a let down at all.
-Inception - Well written and a good concept. Loved the mind fuck.
-Air Bender - Acting made me cringe a little but the scenes were pretty badass
-The Other Guys - Anything with Sam L is hilarious. Overall a decent comedy movie.

Social Network is the next I wanna see cause its gotten good word through my friends and on rottentomatoes is rated at like 97% or something? Trailer looks abit dull but i'll give it a chance

Shutter Island - Scorsese never lets down
Inception - Amazing story that was told well considering its complexity
The Other Guys - Funniest movie I saw this year
Cyrus - Definitely check this out since nobody mentioned it so far
The Town - Loved it. Interesting from beginning to end

In terms of movies I've seen that didn't come out this year, Black Dynamite, Dog Day Afternoon, Glengarry Glen Ross, Unforgiven and 12 Angry Men were great movies as well.
