I realy wanna know how people feel about this. Not to sound cocky but i know i am right when i say they are not legends.

To be a legend in anything you need to have stability and a long line of succes.

Daz and kurupt were on their way but lets face it since the late 90s/early 2000s they havent dropped anything relative to maintream, hip hop heads in generel or done anything to have a major impact on the Los angeles/westcoast scene( check THE game for that ).

So i wanna know why some of you will say they a re legends just like some of you said YUkmouth as a legend.

To me on the westcoast there is a few guys that can have legend status.

EAZY e
DR DRE
SNOOP DOGG
ICE CUBE
TUPAC ( even if he born in Ny)
NWA is a legendary group ( but mc ren is not a legend on his own
I put TOOSHORT in here too

Now as far as rappers who havewritten part of history of had a positive impact or help contribute to the succes we can put guys like"

Yuk, DAz, Kurupt, Above the Law, e-40, Dj quik( sory no legend but one of my favorittes all time). Mc eiht

Another thing too why is it that westcoast always talks about westcoast legends this and that on the east you never hear of a eastcoast legend you hard of a hip hop legend period.

Darkwing Duck (The Reincarnation)

what the?  ???
of course, Daz & Kurupt are westcoast-legends. non-debatable
E-40 and MC Ren too..
even people on the eastcoast consider Dogg Pound and E-40 to be legends,
((if it wasnt for E-40, i wonder what the rap-dictionary would look like..))

Yukmouth is a bayarea-legend/westcoast-veteran

King T and DJ quik are legends.
To be a legend in anything you need to have stability and a long line of succes.
definitely not. you dont have to look at conventional aspects, wen you're measuring and evalutatng a "llegend. there's so much more to it than that..

Paul

Daz+Kurupt and Yuk you can argue are legends, they're like on the line, it's debatable

I don't think they are 100% for sure legends (like Cube, Dre, etc), but they're not 0% no way legends (like whoever is hot right now)

It's kinda like some albums being obvious classics (Chronic, 36 Chambers, etc.) and some being debatable, on the line classics (Reasonable Doubt, ATLiens, etc.)

Because most cats on the east believe hip hop breathes and stops on the east. They birthed it. Right or wrong, that is how most look at things.

I can't see Daz and Kurupt being legends and MC REN not.  Efil4zaggin plus Kiss My Black Azz solidifies his legend status, IMO. 8)  Not to mention Villain In Black.

I`m Wayne Brady bitch!

They are legends, but only by a fine margin. Kurupt hasn't dropped a decent rhyme in God know's how long, and Daz has no concistency what so ever.

Nobody is saying anything about the quantity of music you guys are pushing out. Of course you have, and deserve, a ton of respect for what you are doing. But for me to put an artist in a "legend" status, you need to be pushing heat all of the time when it comes to this rap game. And no offense to you or any in the DPG family, but for me personally you guys don't do this. Snoop's albums is getting worse and worse by every release, Kurupt as I've stated earlier hasn't dropped something crazy for years. That being said, I respect the DPG grind and I wish all of the members great success in the west coast and abroad  8)

Someone up that interview that talks about Daz sitting in the backseat of a car, high on ecstasy.

DPG are legends just for all the beef, infighting and reunion antics :D

In the 90s you guys were Legends, but Post 2000s basically you've all fallen apart at the fucking seams. The In-House Beef, Everyone Fucking Kurupts Wife and turning him into a Bitch, You for fucking over your own fans, allegedly smoking Crack, and dropping shitty albums. You want props for Quantity??? Man fuck that, you don't get shit for quantity, you get shit for Quality. One Quality album gets more replay then a shithole stack of 20 albums.

Are the DPG legends though? As West Coast? Oh yes, no doubt. There Contributions to the Early Scene are worth that alone. Over-all??? Chances are no. They greats, but not legends.

Ren isnt commercially known like dpg.

Plus dpg worked with 2pac = automatic legend status
Sig cut down, keep decent sized.
