Hangover 2

When The Hangover 2 was announced, it didn't take long for director Todd Phillips to announce that the sequel wouldn't take place in Las Vegas. When Thailand became a rumored location for the sequel, however, Phillips denied it, revealing that Hangover 2 wouldn't be set in either Thailand or Mexico. Recently, reports have revealed that Phillips was deceiving fans with his Thailand location denial, forcing him to admit to Empire that Thailand would indeed be the location for Hangover 2.

It takes place in Bangkok and L.A. There's gonna be some f**ked-up surprises. The three guys are back. Mr. Chow's [Ken Jeong] back too.

It appears production has already begun as ComingSoon has revealed some photos of Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha shooting a scene at the Ontario International Airport near Los Angeles.

Galifianakis has admitted that the script for Hangover 2 is "better than the first," and even Phillips has to hope he's right. While The Hangover was a huge success, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time, Phillips is still aware that sequels have a tendency to, well, suck.

  I'm not delusional, I know what I'm up against. I saw Meet The Fockers. But we're aiming high. It's called The Hangover Part Two, you know.

Honestly, my gut tells me that this is going to be a flop. Maybe it'll do well, but the movie will be "whatever".

But obviously I have to see it & give it a chance because the first one was just so classic.
