This original trailer seems like it must of came out nearly two years before the movie was actually released.  I remember seeing it way back in January of 2001.  This was well before Eminem began recording for 8 Mile, in fact he had not even finished recording for the Eminem Show at the time.  The movie studio was already thrilled with the idea of having this still unreleased track "Cleaning Out My Closet" as the theme song for this movie.  

But of course later they heard Em's masterpiece "Lose Yourself" and they were blown away, so "Lose Yourself" and "8 Mile Rd" became the theme music for the movie and this song was scrapped for the movie.  Still it made for an excellent movie trailer and hype for the project.
