Snoop's verse is nothing great.  Akon makes the song sound like everything else on the radio.  Shouldve put Butch Cassidy on it or someone new.

dre repeatedly tries to state that it's not reflective of the album content or sound. also tries to shrug it off as a leak when they were already shooting a video for its this week. as a joint its average despite the pleasing piano beat, can't see there being much radio appeal either. this is the complete opposite of what some people might expect but he'd have to make something more club and catchy for something to be a credible real single. that could even mean something darker, but it has to have a really heavy groove. this just doesn't hit the spot, but if it catches on with people like crazy i stand corrected. i'd still rather bump the instrumental though.

besides, i see a pattern: Under pressure, Turn me on, Kush. perhaps Dre was influenced by Timbaland.

i think you can say for sure that the Detox version that's in progress right now, is more uptempo.
uptempo doesn't have to be a bad thing, but the songs i listed give you an idea how the latest Detox version could sound.
