South Central Cartels new album: South Central Gangsta Muzic

The South Central veterans are back with album number 12, South Central Gangsta Muzic

They may not get the recognition of peers like Compton's Most Wanted, WC, Above The Law and DJ Quik, but South Central Cartel helped shape the west coast gangster rap scene every bit as much in the early 90's. In 2011 the South Central O.G.'s will return with their 12th album since 1992.

South Central Gangsta Muzic drops digitally in January, with lead single "I'm On My Gangsta" paving the way. The video, which can be seen in our video section here, is what they're calling the "hip hop world's first completely solar-powered video." Their decision to take the environmentally conscious route was an easy one, "South Central Cartel’s decision to make an ecologically conscious video makes perfect sense—they’re music has always been a product of their environment."

The former Def Jam artists will release the album through their own Hood Good Entertainment. Their last album was 2009's Chucc N It Up.
