Gotta say that I feel that the English party were over confident. To me they just look like bad losers. Don't get me wrong, I'm annoyed that we haven't got it too but they should just get over it. The FIFA delegates wanted a World Cup where it hasn't been staged yet. Panorama had nothing to do with it.

What even goes into decision process for choosing the location for the World Cup? Admittedly I don't really know shit about Soccer, but it seems pretty obvious that there are MUCH larger markets that would certainly be interested.

I've calmed down a bit but if the rumours are true that a Fifa executive has phoned the FA this morning to say that basically we got knocked out in the first round because of the media, i thought this was supposed to be about football and the best place to hold it not about spitting dummies out and taking revenge.

Well there are enough Muslims in the area.
It's not that important if there are larger markets, they get 90% of the tv rights, add the sponsors who'll pay regardless of the location and the Fifa'll get more than enough. The most important thing, and this lead to this decision, is the question who does the most for the private bank account of the members of the comission. And obviously some camel fuckers bribed them the most.

I mean, no sane person would even think about a World cup there. Whatever the reason of their decision was, the interests of fans and players didn't count.

England were never going to win, i found it embarrassing when they dragged out Cameron and Prince William.

Its been clear for ages fifa want the world cup to go to places where there can be a legacy, who has the best stadiums/bid is irrelevant.

There was probably corruption everyone knows that but thats Englands fault for not playing the game the way everyone else was.
