TQ

In '98 and '99 the artists Terrance Quaites a.k.a. TQ had big hits from his album "They Never Saw Me Coming" like "Westside" and "Bye Bye Baby".

In 2000 his second solo album, "The Second Coming", was released everywhere except for the U.S. (thanks to Sony :-X). He had a hit with "Daily" and some may know the video to "Superbitches" (you see his videos on thugpoetry.com by the way).

A year later he came with a great compilation album called "Headbeaterz Vol. I" (Headbeatin' Productions is his own production company). Listen to songs like "Take Me With U" by Pnutt (who recorded a track with DPG) feat. TQ & Shade Sheist and "Life of a G" by Vandalz feat. TQ. That last song is a classic for the TQ fans. It isn't really a TQ song, but the production is outstanding and the three members of Vandalz do an awsome job on this track (in other words: check this song out!).

Now TQ left Sony and joined Cash Money. Most likely his album will be the next release on CMR. TQ had already a bunge of guest appearences since he joined CMR. Listen to "Gimme Some" and "Ice Cold". Before he joined CMR he had already worked with artists like Daz & Kurupt, Tray Deee, Too Short, Warren G, CJ Mac and C-Bo.

What do you guys think of TQ?

It took me a minute to feel his style when he initially dropped.. the whole singing about blastin fools didnt hit me right off.. but I like his chorus's and alot of his new shit.  Im looking forward to his CMR release cuz they got Mack 10, Boo And Gotti.. a fresh little line up that may end up working out well for TQ.  So.. We will have to see.. but Ill support him just cuz hes from LA.

Rud> Check www.thugpoetry.com :-X

I don't get what some people have against Cash Money. People always say you have to stay real and the person you used to be bla bla bla. Blame them for being rich! Listen to "Never Had Nothin'" by Baby from his Birdman album. I think he gives good reasons not to blame him. Why would you act like someone you aren't anymore?

TQ said in an interview that the second coming wasn't authorized by him which led him to leave sony and that cd never getting released in the states. this explains the quality difference between his two cd's TNSMC was a classic cd and TQ sounded hungry in that cd, the 2nd seemed to be more of a left overs album... but i've been looking for this man to drop a REAL cd since TNSMC so whether or not it has CM members on it, i'm still going to cop it.

Yeah, TSC album wasn't even finished when it came out... TSC was supposed to have a different version for the US with "Anna Maria", "One Day" (feat. Layzie Bone iso E-40) and "Down Bottom" (skit). The version for the rest of the world should have been the version that actually has been released for the rest of the world with "Internationally Yours" and E-40 on "One Day"...

That he left Sony also might be the reason why the song "Xtacy Jones" with Case never came out. The song was produced by Nokio and Dru Hill covered that track for their new album "Dru World Order".
