One day College Football will make it playoff format & then it will be the greatest thing ever.

unless the Bears lose out GB is missing the playoffs

See, what I don't get in college football is this, there are 11 conferences, so what you can have is every conference winner in a playoff and then have 5 wild card teams, so that the extra SEC teams of Pac 10 teams can get in, or the Independent teams. You have a 16 team playoff, the lower teams don't feel discriminated and everyone has a chance, as if you want in win your conference.

It seems easy enough. If the whole thing started on New Years Day this year with 8 games all played on the dame day, and then 4 games on the 8th, 2 games on the 15th, and finish it with the Championship game the very next week it'd be huge TV ratings each week, it'd make college guys even bigger stars, generate a boatload of money, and set up to the Superbowl very nicely.

I'm not much of a college ball fan at all but I'd watch every game they showed on TV for the playoffs, by the 2nd or third year I'd be watching college a lot more closely.

And I'd even keep the bowl games too... you know for those not in the playoffs, they can go to a bowl game, played between Christmas and New Years and there would be so much money that it seems crazy they don't do it. Oh well.... one day maybe.

I'd just make each playoff game a Bowl game in name, because Bowl Games would lose their luster for the teams that aren't in the top 16. A few here and there would still work, but most would not get their ratings back with everyone waiting for the playoffs. Keep the Rose Bowl with parade as the opening playoff game and make a new Bowl for the Championship game and it'll be huge.
