1-you guys lucked out against Orlando when KG was out that season

2-you guys lucked out last year when Perkins went down and the refs started making phantom calls in the 4th quarter of game 7.  no other team gets those phantom calls besidse LA  (maybe Miami will start getting them though)

3-the Lakers days of winning titles are now over with the resurgance of the Spurs and the Celtics/Heat in the east

Im convinced if Perkins didnt go down the Celtics would be the defending champs. Either way, you gotta admit the finals last year was one of the most poorly played finals ever lol

Lakers didn't have Bynum for game 7 either. He played a little, but was a non factor because of his knee, he usually equalizes the middle so Gasol can do his thing. I agree, Boston with a healthy Perkins beats the Lakers with a limp Bynum any day. These teams are that close that these things do matter, and since Perkins was injured during a series, and not going into a series, I really don't weight it much other than a causality of a series. Even if say Kobe got hurt, there's nothing that can be done other than say, well it's a series and he got hurt.

It was a poorly offensives series, that's for sure, and game 7 looked more like full contact tackle football than it did basketball.

I'll still give the LAkers credit for winning but not as much credit :D

i still have no idea why Lamar Odom is loved in LA.  no freakin clue...I'd hate having that guy on my team with his inconsistancy.
