The G-Funk co-originators (along with Tha Twinz) & G-Child (Warren G) alumni The Dove Shack are readying a long last return after the Japan-only release of their second group effort & some rather un-noticed solo efforts, first live onstage & in the studios where they are hard-at-work on their forthcoming third full-length record, "Parties & Hard Times", scheduled for release in the Summer of 2011.
Here, they perform a brand new track, "Superstar" & a fan-favourite classic, "Summertime in the LBC".

Nice. With the sun coming back i had summertime in the lbc on repeat this week. Looking forward to this new album, hope they work a real distribution deal not like the one for Bo Roc's album. Still looking for "reality's got me tied up".

Tell me about it! I was biding on it 2 weeks ago on eBay, fucken cd sold for $183 or something! Same dude had at the same fucken time DaddyV & DMG also for over $150. Pissed me off both times to let them go!

Haha damn that's the 2 cds i'm still looking for! And the Nate Dogg self titled album promotional copy. Prices are crazy for both records!

I don't understand Bo Rocc sais in his recent interview there would be no new dove shack album because of contracts bs.

Thing is with ebay it only takes 1 person to fuck up your bids! & When I reached my limit for these cd's that's what I thought! Dude wants to buy MY shit! You gonna pay major $ then! I know I took some chances but I wzs pissed so I raised the bids too, but stopped at $150 not to be stuck with the cd's at that price.
Point is when we bid on them next time around, we gotta make sure we not 2 stupid fools raising the bids against the other! Know what I meam? I'm sure they can be won at about $50-60, maybe less if lucky. Believe it the starting bid was 0.99$

Do you know if the view was done prior or after January 15th? I didn't ask but I'll try to figure who they signed with, if major, or maybe go with Warren G again, or stay independant...

Nothing's certain yet but with some good will, I might be given a little more live footage from the show (which included DJ Quik & Tha Dogg Pound too)...
