2pac and Michael Jackson?
« on: March 12, 2011, 12:20:50 PM »
???

aparently, producer QDIII was introduced to Michael Jackson, by his father (Quincy Jones).
QD tried to get MJ to record on the Too Gangsta For Radio-version of "Thug Nature"/2pac..

never really thought of that link between 2pac and Michael Jackson.   Michael's producer and good friend Quncy Jones also happend to be 2pac's future father in law... yet they never mentioned each other in interviews and they've never been on record together

The Notorious B.I.G, Heavy D, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Fats, Will.I.Am, A-Plus (Wreckx-n-Effect), Shaquile O'Neal, John Forte & Kanye West are rappers MJ worked with.

Bone Thugs & 50 Cent have added there or MJ's vocals to songs since he died.

MJ needed a big commercial rapper to get back on form in the US given the mainstream dominance it had over Michael Jacksons style, despite him doing very well globally overall, especially in Japan, and Europe.

Michael wanted to work with 2Pac, and believed he could be the one to guide the troubled youngster, improve his temperament, sway public perception, and make a great song together (I personally doubt Thugs Nature would have went through as the final song though) through QD3 but would only be recorded vocals due to the demands of both artists work schedules, personal life/troubles - not nececarily the 2 meeting each other for the song, which is strange since it contradicts MJ's belief

Michael Jackson however, went through legal problems surrounding the divorce to Lisa Marie Presley, which still existed through to July 96, and he was also in the Czech Republic for most of August 96, (and some of September I think?) but the two were going to work together after Michaels re-marriage in November with QD3's assistance, on non stop productions - A production company set up by 2Pac, and Johnny J - people think that it was just Johnny J to be producing in this, but this wasn't the case. 2Pac died in September, and the use of his vocals at that time was problematic for anyone involved in his music, or companies
