Probably one of my favorite lines from a Nate Dogg song is one from the Christmas on Death Row track, "Be Thankful".

This morning I woke up with a reason to sing

That line is one I think about when I think I'm going through problems that makes me appreciate the bigger picture. No matter how difficult your situation is, if you're alive and healthy, you have a chance to change and we all take that for granted from time to time. It took on a strange meaning after Nate had his stroke and even more so now that he's no longer with us. But while not one of his more popular lines, I think it holds the most personal for me.
