I'm not sure even as a better rapper Kurupt just runs away with that though. I mean Death Row era of course, even Kurupt was outshining Snoop on his own album. But solo albums, let's not get it twisted, even post Doggystyle there are many examples of Snoop rapping his ass off. Both fell off a bit granted, but I dont think it is a clear runaway that Kurupt is a better rapper.

true but I think Kurupt has always written his own lyrics, the only time was his 2nd stint at Death Row where Crooked was rumored to have written for him but I question that because the lyrics were subpar

I think lyricially Doggfather is Snoops best album but alot of it was ghost written. Think About it as well.

Jamar Stamps and Tracey Davis are only credited for their own verses.
Snoop is credited as a writer for all of his songs on those 2 albums (except for "Groupie", "Downtown Assassins")
