2Pac did write for Outlawz on Death Row a lot despite what they say about whatever (Outlaw) was completed in time got to record their verses if they were quick enough.. This is true to a degree however due to 2Pac's fast writing capabilities, this caused 2Pac to write other/give up a lot of his own verses to other Outlawz so that they could jump on to the track with him, give them exposure, and so that 2Pac had a dedicated group under him. sure, pac wrote alot for other people
but it seems that he liked doing it
he wrote for so many people and alot of times before asking them
he would just come to them with a written verse and say "here, i wrote this for you"
it's no mystery that he wrote for MC Hammer, Shock G & Money B (on I Get Around confirmed by Shock in an interview, Money B declined and wrote his own verse though)
and he gave songs away to other artists (Fake Ass Bitches)
of course he also did that for the outlawz
but as far as I can tell it seems to be only on special occasions and not on a regular basis

one exampled would be the final version of hit em up
there are handwritten lyrics by 2pac and they include the outlawz verses
so it's obvious that pac wrote theses verses for them

It just gives a bigger insight into the amount of work he actually done at Death Row as a whole, not just for The Outlawz. He also wrote some verses for Kurupt, Bad Azz and Snoop Dogg, and wrote entire songs for (as you mentioned) MC Hammer, but also Lady Of Rage, and Snoop Dogg as well

The main point of the topic though was to discuss the genuine talent of the Outlawz, in relation to their recent announcement of retiring and that if they really did "fall off" if a majority of their raw verses were good due to being written by 2Pac

Kurupt was good at spitting verses from the top, and more than capable of writing his own material. Lady of Rage was as well. Those 2 themselves have written material for other rappers on Death Row. I wasn't mentioning that in a way to degrade their lyric writing abilities in any way, as the 2 are good at it. I was only talking about the retail version, don't know about the other version
there are handwritten lyrics (all in Tupac's handwriting) on the same pieces of paper with all verses written
the lyrics were filmed in some studio footage
(btw, the written outlawz verses have slight differences to the recorded lyrics, seems like the lawz changed some words)
the only logical explanation to me is that he wrote those lyrics

maybe my other point wasn't that clear but what I was also trying to say is that
multiple artist have told stories that pac would write for others without asking them or being asked to
especially during his DR era, he was trying to get into producing, helping other artists and stuff like that
he would do songs with other people in mind and give them to em as a gift

The Outlawz was a group that Pac was trying to shape, teach etc.
most of the stuff he did for them was give song concepts, ideas and teach them to be artists
but he never came even close to finish his work with them before he died
they were still pretty young around that time and pac just started to (really) promote these guys
plus if you look at 96, all of a sudden 3 highly influential members of the group leaving (Pac/Yak/Fatal)
the reason why they "fell off" is pretty obvious to me if you consider all these things
but I think you're judging them too hard, you can't blame it all on them
to a certain extent they were victims of the circumstances

1-Napoleon admitted U Can Be Touched was a verse Pac wrote about Napoleon's life for him....I don't know about any of the other songs this guy posted though


2-I'd always assume Fatal and Kadafi wrote their verses on "Hit Em Up" because of the style and lyrics being different from Pac's.


EDI on the other hand, his verse was basic lyrics with on point delivery (which is rare these days for him haha)

Not Sho Shot, not even Big Bad Lady that he was featured on. You seem to be missing an understanding on how it was when 2Pac got to Death Row. He arrived and shook the company up. He was writing so much material, that everybody struggled to keep up with him including the producers. So much was written that he couldn't even record it all, which in the end proved noxious because not all the "ideal" people got their hands on the material that wasn't recorded.
Besides rap though, he wrote scripts, plays, poetry, music video concepts, tracks, track lists, album & PR ideas for other artists - everything. He wrote songs, verses, even hooks for artists not because they asked for it, or even needed it, but because he wanted to do it. He was a writing machine plain and simple

Just because 2Pac wrote for these people, it doesn't mean that they needed the help, or even asked for it. He would just write it without their knowledge, then go up to the artist with it complete. Outlawz were different though besides Syke, Fatal & Kadafi
