BRAND NEW 2Pac News (Inc album news)
« on: January 08, 2003, 08:16:31 AM »
Amaru say that the "Tupac Resurrection" soundtrack will feature his most popular tracks, some that were not on the greatest hits. Ones on the greatest hits will be remixed such as Dear Mama & Trapped. Other tracks you can expect to see are ones like "pour out a lil liquor" & "Holler If Ya hear me" (basically tracks missing from greatest hits that shouldve been there)

His movie named "Tupac Resurection" and is told in tupacs OWN voice, all the way through the 2 hour movie of his own life up to his untiumely death. No actors, its just TUPAC himself and Amaru are making sure that it is released before SEP 13th and is said to give chills - Sounds uncomftorable

The tupac centre will open in 2005

The new double album from tupac will consist of material from 1993-1994 and will be mainly original with only few tracks remixed due to most tracks not being sampled and is code named "The interscope Years" but will be renamed to a more commercial friendly name after the album is complete (source - Interscope)

Big thanks to Makaveli.com and to add to extra news Iv heard

No Makaveli album will be released this year around sept as many had thought. What I have heard though is that some (raw) Makaveli tracks from his makaveli period will be on a new deathrow compolation album, which will also feature (with permission) a track from the N.I.N.A. project. Tracks from Danny Boy, Crooked I, Ja Rule and Eastwood and will have production from 187, Chick Santana and more. Tracks from Crooked I & Ja Rule on this project will also be featured on a movie later this year which Kurupt “Kingpin” may have a small role in. Thanks for your time to read all the interview!
PEACE!!!!!!

Great news. 1993-94 era is maybe the best era of Pac as a rapper. R U Still Down? is a great album imo.

The track with NINA will probably be that remix of UNTOUCHABLE i was talking about in another topic. It's supposed to be hot. Pz.

95'-96' was his best era.....however, Pac is Pac, and it doesnt matter what era the songs are from, I will buy them. R U Still Down is indeed an underrated album......

Yeh R U Still Down is Pacs best pre deathrow album after death in my opinion. A lot of the beats stayed the same and the skits had feeling and emotion.

Still I rise is still 2Pacs best deathrow material album after his death. Only let down was a few tracks like Y'all don't know us which should have been left out

Better Dayz would have been a lot better if they had kept the original version of Mamas Just a lil girl & Never Be Peace with Storm, Marvelous.

They could have kept the original beat to This Life I lead but replace the verses, DJ Quik should have handled the fair Exhange remix. Nitty shouldnt have been allowed to do so many tracks. Should never have removed verses from Storm, Fatal, Kurupt and Marvelous. This could have been  a great album

Opinions. Mine is 1989-1992 first (Political Pac. Tracks like Tears Of A Clown, Panther Power, Words Of Wisdom, etc.. are my fav ones!), then 1993-1994 (R U Still Down Pac) and then 1995-96 (Thugged out Pac).

Btw, like you said, who cares? It's always a good thing to check a new Pac album..

True, he had a lot of underrated tracks from those days. He had wisdom, and itelligance back then, but I prefered a track where Pac had anger, where he would spit about a number of different topics in the one and make you feel his emotion in every line where as the layed back political type tracks he done in his early days never had much emotion as his thugged out style.

I feel his best work released after his death was the "Still I Rise" record, that album is about a 4.5 for me, i'd love to hear material of that quality released again.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Yeh Id have to go with still I rise. This could have been a classic only if they had got some of the tracks right
The plus and minuses

1. Letter 2 The President - Original and great track +
2. Still I Rise - Some censoring here, softer beat, -
3. Secretz Of War - Outlawz ruined hook, -
4. Baby Don't Cry - Brilliant track, kept the original 2pac produced track, +
5. As the World Turns - Deep track, classic feel, +
6. Black Jesus - Kept Original beat, cut verse, -
7. Homeboyz - Basic beat but Original but out of place on the LP, -
8.  Hell 4 A Hustler - Changed beat but made it go with the album, +
9. High Speed - Suprisingly kept it original, different sound, +
10. The Good Die Young - Big D's Original scrapped for the remix but you feel this one, +
11. Killuminati - Original, +
12. Teardrops & Closed Caskets - Kept it original, +
13. Tattoo Tears - EDI fukd this track up, Kurupt should have allowed rights, -
14. U Can Be Touched - Pac gives outlawz a chance to shine, +
15. Y'all Don't Know Us - either love or hate it, outlawz just had to put an outro track in, I think its ok -/+

Best album with row material on it so far due to how they handled it. I think if they had kept the original version of Tattoo tears, Secretz Of War & Black Jesus & Kept all the original verses and hooks (apart from the Good die young which I feel needed to be changed for a commercial single) we would have had a classic on our hands
