so now since i saw Quik drinkin his heart tha other day (and at that u-stream concert) and I stopped smokin' tree on 4/19 I've been guzzling 18packs daily.  Thanks Quik becuz on some real shit, I needed 2 stop smokin' weed and him and Daz made it a little more difficult to stop.  That "Luv Of My Life" record really does have me goin' and it's literally been on repeat for most of tha day (tha only other records i listened to was Hootie and Waka and I played "Back Seat" by The New Boyz once).  


so now that i'm listening to "Luv Of My Life" again for the 50th time I'm still gonna drink and play it even tho I'm writing this post.  This song is so beast.  I would truely love 2 thank DJ Quik for making such a bomb ass record (Which probably sounds better on vinyl rather than live but i wouldn't know *future reference*).  ah man, the music coming out nowadays is gonna 1 day have it's own "classic" era and when it does it's gonna be beautiful...

I can kind of see what you're saying.

For me, it was the opposite. Back in 98-2000, it was smoking too much, rather than drinking, due to Rhythm-alism, Balance & options, and the unreleased Quik tracks sold during that time being in either my own or my friends cars (who I copied CD's for on a weekly basis)

He made those tracks that encouraged rolling, or lighting a bong so you can sit and really enjoy the somewhat complex, and relaxed music he produced. He also had/has a easy voice to listen to. A lot of Eastcoast records during that time were also good to smoke to
