Better Dayz is double platinum, according to my friend who works for Soundscan. And thats completely believable, because Ja Rule's album is platinum, and Pac has outsold him big time, so......yea.

Eh, how come I just checked the Billboard charts and neither Snoop nor Pac has gone gold?  The chart doesn't list sales, but albums that are plat have a triangle beside it(ie. Eminem Show has a triangle and a 8 for 8x plat) and gold albums have a circle beside it.  Neither Snoop nor Pac have that.  

Personally I just think record sales in general are down.  Based on the Billboard chart (which gets their info from soundscan, so it must be pretty accurate), not even huge pop stars like J.lo has has hit gold yet, same with Nas, Busta.  In all fairness I think music cd's in general are not selling like they should.  So y'all should just ease up on Snoop, regardless what you think of the album.  Personally I think think the album is fuckin' amazing, probably his most consistent album since Doggfather.  But that's just my opinion, and I know y'all are gonna shit all over it, but hey, to each his own.

Pac's album is a double album.  Sales count twice, so he'll have to go plat to match snoop's gold.


I wish more people had been BLESSED by snoop's album, LOL.  I thought it was great, guess people are sleepin' on the big dogg.  He's still doing better than everybody else out west (except pac and dre).

The album was ok. Yall act like it was some trashy shit and  you have to skip through all the tracks everytime you listen to it, but come on yall...it has like 7 or 8 good tracks and the rest is average..but he will go platinum, at least. ..the ones who dont like it are the die hard west coast heads, but face it, he will never go back to that era

I really hope for Snoop it will go at least platinum. After the poor sales of Dogghouse All Stars, he def needs a platinum album, or Dogghouse will be just "another average label", talking about impact in the music industry. I mean.. 2 consecutive albums not platinum. And the next albums are Latoya, Soopafly, E-White & Kokane? (i dont know the order). So 6 consecutive non-platinum albums? That's a real problem, if you think about it. Expecially cause Dogghouse aint an indi label! They spend money promoting albums, etc.. And to say "i dont care. I care about music" is good only talking from the side of the fans, cause i'm sure Snoop is a lil bit worried about it. And i'm worried a lil bit too, about the West Coast rap in general. West Coast needs Snoop triple platinum. Period.

Snoop's album just got certified the other day, so it should show up on the next chart...Alot of times the record company will wait until the album definitely goes gold or plat to certify it, rather than basing in it on shipped copies...Snoop has shipped platinum but has actually sold 500,000 according to Soundscan...
